Would you compete on national TV for love?
It’s a season of love and love is a strong feeling that makes us want to go extreme for it, spend all the money in our account for love( for those buying iPhone 12 and Mercedes Benz for their partner) and sometimes lose our brain for love. But with all these sacrifices for love, the question is WOULD YOU COMPETE ON NATIONAL TV FOR LOVE? This question got me thinking hard because I get pretty interested watching these reality shows but then I ask myself, “would I want to do this” because trust me I know someone who has been in the reality tv show for love and it’s really not as easy as just competing and to me I find it forced and unnatural.
Now, I’m pretty sure you have seen reality shows like Love Island, Too Hot to Handle, The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, Ultimate Love, etc. They are all interesting right? Some of us love to watch it for the games, love talks, connections or to ship couples or do “aww” but if there was an opportunity for you to to be in one of these shows to compete, would you? Okay now let’s get straight to the point, let me give you guys my opinion. For a private person I don’t think it will be easy, they are people who don’t like showing their lives being public and in every reality show, a glimpse of your life will be shown, have you seen what they do there? *inserts looking emoji* they aren’t called 18+ for nothing so my dear, are you willing to show that sexual side of you?
The whole privacy thing isn’t my only concern though, the emotions too, the heartbreak; let’s take a look at The Bachelorette or The Bachelor. In the Bachelorette, thirty men compete for the love of one woman and in the Bachelor, it’s the other way round. Talking about hurts or heartbreak, it’s quite embarrassing when you compete for the love of one person with several others but you don’t get chosen, the hurt and rejection on a reality show could get you crying for weeks.
Let’s go back to where I stated that I found it forced and unnatural, as humans, some people try to be impressive thereby hiding their true personality on national TV to show the viewers and also lovers their good side. People’s flaws always show no matter how they hide it but then some are pretty good at hiding and they are very conscious of what is being done or said especially when they know they are being watched, so technically being in these reality show for the quest of love is something you need to think about while drinking coffee to clear your head.
So, what do YOU think? WOULD YOU COMPETE ON NATIONAL TELEVISION FOR LOVE?
