Now as much as I love to say my method works 100% of the time, it doesn’t. You have to make up your mind that your anger is something you want to control and you are willing to do anything to control it.
That aside, avoiding what seems to increase your anger is always the right step. Let’s take an example, you and your friend are arguing about something and it’s getting to your head and you know your anger level is increasing, terminate the conversation or better still leave the place all together. In some cases people may tease you for being a chicken but you know it’s for your own good.
Distract yourself with things you enjoy or better put, find a calming factor. I have seen cases where dogs or other pets are calming factors, stress balls, music, games, food or even your girlfriend (reference to teen wolf Scott and Allison). This helps but keep in mind that you should find something that will always be at your disposal.
Lastly, sign up for anger management class. In some cases this is urgently needed. You problem might need a professional to help out as issues like this usually has something to do with a past experience you try hard to bury but had affected your life in another way. Well… I hope this helps
